We are excited to bring you Circa. A location-based community for students. Imagine a bulletin board to share or discover conversations nearby with your friends or peers that changes based on your location.
Circa was created to connect students with shared interests (e.g., college, majors, classes) nearby in a safe online community regardless if you are home or on campus. Existing online communities host content irrelevant to your location, which does not help you decide what to do or where to go next.
📱How to share and discover
Types of postsPublic post – your approximate location is attached to a post, allowing other users nearby to join the conversation. – Watch how to video
Post with location – Add the name of the place, so others can easily find the location you are discussing.
Private Post – You can choose to share information with only those you trust. Watch how to video
Post type – Add a category to your post (e.g., question, recommendation, event) to help others identify what your post is about.
🔐 We value your privacy
Circa never displays your exact location. Any post created less than 0.5 mi (0.8 km) from other users will show as <0.5 mi. or <0.8 km.
All of your data on Circa is stored using Google Cloud Services. Google uses layers of security to protect data stored on their network.
